Wedding bells are ringing

Charlie's nephew got married last weekend, the first of the nieces & nephews (n&n - I'm creating my own abbreviation) to wed. I can't believe I've been with this family so long. I've known Deke since he was 11 years old! I was a little sad because it meant that these 'kids' have all grown up and are moving on with their lives, starting their own families. It also makes me realize how old I am! But we couldn't be happier for him. His wife Tyler is very sweet and hilarious-they're a perfect match. Congrats guys! We are so happy for you! (I'm stealing some of their wedding pics)

This was mine and Charlie's first night away from Zane. Since the wedding was in Hempstead (about 2 hours away) we stayed the night instead of driving home after the reception. My mom keeps him overnight a lot to give Charlie and I a date night on Fridays. Since she's just next door, it's not that big of a deal. But leaving town without him? It was kind of scary. I knew he'd be just fine playing with Grandma and GG and that it'd be a lot better not to have him at the wedding. We would have had to keep him in the foyer of the church during the ceremony because he's so loud and can't sit still. But we had a nice night away even if I did call my mom several times to check in.

Also, seems like Deke and Tyler started something among the n&n. Breann got engaged a couple of weeks ago. And Stefanie and Carlos FINALLY got engaged. It's about time Carlos! ;) They've been dating since 2004. (I think Carlos was trying to break our record) At the wedding reception Charlie kept doing his famous mexican laugh/scream (so embarrassing) and Carlos kept saying 'Are we related dude?' After the 3rd time Charlie said 'If you'd marry my niece we would be!' BURN!! We all laughed so hard - especially since Carlos turned bright red. Then a couple of days later he proposed. Coincidence? Maybe. But Charlie's still taking credit for it. ;)
