A different ear infection

In all the excitement the night it snowed, I forgot to put Zane's medicine back in the fridge. The doctor said he'd like to see him again, to know if he should prescribe more meds or if he could just stop. Well, the ear that had fluid on it last time is now crystal clear, his throat looked better and he sounded less congested. But now he has an infection in his left ear. We got a different medicine (one that doesn't have to be refrigerated!) to help clear it up. It doesn't seem to be bothering him and he's sounding much better - not coughing as much.
Last night Charlie was drinking some water while holding Zane and he reached for the glass and then screamed when Charlie took it away from him. We poured him some distilled water and let him try drinking it - he really enjoyed it and actually swallowed the water, although he didn't really seem to know what to do with his tongue (licking the outside of the glass). And yes, I know we're opening ourselves up to screaming fits in the future when we won't give him our drink, he just looked so cute!
