And still more firsts...

OK, well I thought Zane started quite a few new things last week and I figured that it'd take him a while to perfect his new activities before moving on. I was wrong. Monday he perfected pulling up on furniture and even started trying to climb up his gate (Alcatraz - Rob & Karrie came up with the name) to reach a small towel that was on the top of it.

Then on Tuesday we drove to Centerville to meet Rob so Karlee could go back home. When Zane got home after the 5 hour trip in his car seat, he was so hyper - crawling everywhere, rolling around, 'talking' really loud, laughing, falling w/o getting upset. It was so funny. After awhile he started saying mamamamama, which he'd never said before. His only 'word' has been bwaah. But now he's saying ba, ma, and bwah. So crazy! He's also exploring a LOT more and EVERYTHING he finds has to go into his mouth. Here's a video of him trying to suck on a screw on his walker. Forgive the shaky footage - I couldn't stop laughing. He was trying to suck on the bottom screw but apparently it was too hard to get to so he'd give up and go for the top screw or just suck on the leg.

This morning I went to get him out of his crib and he was on his knees trying to untie his bumper pad. This was the first time he's climbed up in his crib.

Then after he ate he was playing with his toys and I was sitting on the couch doing some work. He crawled over and got on his knees and was hanging onto the couch next to my leg. He hung out there awhile, very content. When I looked down at him, he was on his FEET! He didn't struggle or make any noise at all while he was doing it. The other night when he pulled up to his feet on my pants, it took him about 5 minutes, he was wiggling, shaking and moaning the entire time.
Not about Zane - I have some bad news - our digital Canon SLR finally died. It was very good to us for 5 years, but I can't count the number of times I've dropped it and it finally gave out. I ordered a new one :) but it won't be here for about a week. Please bear with the horrible pictures my point and shoot takes - red eyes galore.
