Momentous week

This has been a very eventful week for Zane. At the end of January he started getting up on his knees and using his elbows to pull himself around on his tummy and then quickly perfected his army crawl. Last week he started getting to his knees, bouncing then taking one crawl step with each knee before falling to his tummy and army crawling the rest of the way. This Wednesday he started crawling several steps in a row and by Friday he turned into a speed demon getting from one side of the room to the other in a matter of seconds.
Also, on Thursday night he crawled over to me while I was sitting in the rocking chair. He grabbed my jeans and pulled himself to his knees then grabbed higher up and pulled himself to his feet!
This week his teeth finally started coming in. We noticed him drooling a lot more last week. This Wednesday we drove to Centerville to pick up Karlee for the week. He slept in the car the whole way up there. After we picked up Karlee and got about 2 miles down the road he started screaming. You could tell he was in serious pain. We pulled off at the next exit and I put some medicine on his gums and could feel they were bumpier than they had been the day before. After walking around for a while he finally calmed down and we got back on the road. Since then he's been pretty grumpy. Friday night I had Charlie put the medicine on him so he could feel his gums and he said he felt teeth. He got out his head lamp and looked in Zane's mouth and you can see 2 little teeth barely poking out of his gums. It happened so fast - they weren't there this morning.
I didn't realize everything would happen all at the same time! Poor little guy has so much new stuff going on, no wonder he's been cranky.
We watched the very first Jon and Kate this afternoon and I thought - how did those parents survive 6 babies teething at the same time? They must be extremely patient.
